Our Roots in Online Marketing

Alesco Marketing developed its roots in June of 2002 as a small business consulting firm by Doug Williams, appropriately called Doug Williams & Associates. Doug, a 32 year veteran of business growth strategies, has a strong background in developing holistic solutions for business system models, product development, operational processes, facilities management and a host of other departmental innovations for many large businesses. It was in June of 2002 that he set out to start his own company and help small business owners start and grow their ideas into valuable, profitable business ventures.

From the beginning of his new venture, Doug knew enough about online marketing to know he needed a website that could be easily found for keyword phrases his target audience was searching for on Google and Yahoo's Search Engines, like "small business consulting" and "small business consultant". He found a reputable web developer who said he could not only design and build a website for Doug, but that he also had the skills to ensure the website would be ranked in the top position on the Search Engines for all things related to small business consulting. And so he was hired.

Promoting Ourselves through Online Marketing Strategies

Doug is not the type of business owner to just take a person's word and so, while the website was being designed, Doug took it upon himself to better understand the steps involved with getting top rankings on the search engines through online marketing promotion. Through this discovery, he realized that the person he hired was in fact not following the guidelines he was uncovering to be the best methods for online marketing strategies. After several arguments surrounding the "right" approach, Doug pulled the project from the contracted developer, brought in his sons to help complete the website, and took the online marketing of the website into his own hands.

Shortly after, the website was found across all the major search engines in the #1, organic positions for competitive phrases like "small business consulting", "small business consultant" and many others. He continues to maintain these #1 positions today, seven years later! It was not soon after this accomplishment that his clients were asking him to get the same results for them. As quickly as he took control of his own website he was transforming his business from a small business consulting firm to an Internet Marketing Company.

And so, Doug Williams & Associates, LLC was rebranded Alesco Marketing.
